My Style

Artist statement- When I saw Rene Magritte's paintings I notice that we both paint people without there faces. I don't know why I do it, but I feel its more interesting that way. Based on a unfinished sketch I'm going to create a piece that sums up my style, and I may implement styles from my old art work into this piece.

  1. I think you could add hard shading to your works to give them more depth. They're very flat at the moment, but look good

  2. If you add more to it, I'm sure it'll pop more. Keep going!

  3. I think your style is really cool! I love how it is so simple yet it still looks really good. The way you do not paint their faces in your works is really interesting(in a good way:))

  5. The painting looks a little flat, adding some darker and lighter tones to the face and clothes would make it a little more defined and realistic.

  6. I think it's cool that you don't add a face because it is different and not what people expect. I think you should make them stand out a little bit more from the background but it looks good so far.

  7. I like the colors and how it looks like a storybook. Maybe incorporate a few more details, it feels kind of boring. Other than that I think it's very good and interesting.

  8. I like the first one it reminds me of the powerpuff Girls art style but you could put a little something to make it pop.

  9. I like the simplicity of each piece. The whole "no face" thing gives it a mysterious feel.

  11. I like that you don't give faces to your art but i do feel like there should be a bit of shading somewhere to give it a bit more depth.

  12. I actually like how flat the painting looks, and the lack of lines separating different parts. The angular style is nice.
